Stradbroke Island

On Stradbroke Island its all about the beach and compelling scenery. To reach the island you need to take a ferry from the mainland at Cleveland and the crossing takes a little under one hour to Dunwich. From here another 20 minutes and you're where the action is on the North of the Island.
There are some great places to stay on the island to suit all budgets. Also some pretty good restaurants and pubs as well as a couple of small shops. The main supermarket is open until 9.00pm every day and carries a full range of all you will need.
Straddies is a great place to chill out.
The beaches are magnificent and great for surfing.
Main beach is a major attraction and has some pretty good accommodation options as well.

Port Macquarie
